The short version
Ember sets three essential cookies so you stay signed in and so we can spot abuse, and, only if you say yes, Google Analytics cookies so we can see which pages get used. That's the whole list. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no data sold to anyone.
Essential cookies
These make the site work and keep it safe, and can't be switched off. We never use them to track you across other sites.
better-auth.session_token: your sign-in session. Lasts up to 30 days, refreshed while you use Ember.
better-auth.session_data: a short-lived signed copy of your session that saves a database lookup. Expires after 5 minutes.
ember_did: a random id for this browser, used only to spot accounts being created to dodge blocks or bans. It identifies the browser, not you, and is never shared with anyone.
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent we load Google Analytics, which sets _ga and _ga_* cookies to tell repeat visits apart. We use it to answer questions like "do people find the nights page?", never to identify you. If you decline, these cookies are never set; if you change your mind later, we remove them.
You haven't made a choice yet.
Your choice, stored locally
Your accept-or-decline answer is kept in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data resets it, and we'll ask again.
